ProPresenter or PraisePad Present?

For the booth of a church of 150: an operator or two, a projector, a stream.

ProPresenter 7 is the presentation software most production teams know: lyrics, Scripture, media, stage display, up to eight outputs, NDI and SDI, sold by the seat. PraisePad Present builds the slides from the service plan and runs them from a browser on any computer, priced for the church, not the seat: free in the beta. Here’s what each does better, what each costs, and whether to stay or switch.

From $14 a month for a team of 10. Free for invited churches during the beta.

What ProPresenter does better

  • A deep feature set: macros, up to eight outputs, NDI, SDI and alpha key, MIDI and DMX, stage screens
  • Hardware outputs from a dedicated machine, on Mac and Windows
  • ProContent and a market of media and templates
  • MIDI and Stream Deck control built in, and the Stage Display app
  • Planning Center and SongSelect integrations

Not in PraisePad yet: NDI, SDI or alpha key, livestreaming of its own, an app in the stores.

Bringing your songs over

  • Copy the library folder or export a playlist and drop it on Upload: every song with its words, slide breaks, CCLI number and copyright line, checked before it’s saved
  • Playlists become draft services on their dates, songs in order
  • The files are read on your own computer; pictures and videos stay where they are

Stay or switch?

Stay with ProPresenter if your booth runs NDI, SDI, alpha key, props and macros on a dedicated machine, and your operators’ hands know it.

Move to PraisePad if you’d rather the slides came from the plan, anyone could build them from home in a browser, and the church paid one price instead of a seat.

Questions

Is there a ProPresenter alternative for a small church?

PraisePad Present is one: lyric slides made from the set list, Scripture, announcements, a countdown, the pastor’s screen, lobby TVs and the words for your livestream, run from a browser on any computer. It’s in beta: free, by request; founding churches pay $9 a month at launch, for the whole church.

From the help: Present: slides for the screens

How much does a ProPresenter subscription cost?

$29 a month or $289 a year for one seat. Two seats are $58 a month, or $478 a year: seats 2 to 4 are $189 a year each and 5 to 10 are $149 a year each, with 11 or more by quote, and no volume discount on monthly. It’s subscription only for new customers, with a 14-day trial. From support.renewedvision.com, read October 31, 2026.

Can PraisePad do what ProPresenter does?

Much of what a church of 150 uses: slides from the plan, Scripture, media, the pastor’s screen, lobby and overflow looks, words over your stream through a browser source in OBS or vMix, and a Stream Deck through Companion. Not NDI, SDI, alpha key, props, MIDI or video playlists of the same depth.

From the help: Present: the pastor's screen, the lobby and events

Can I bring my ProPresenter songs into PraisePad?

Yes. ProPresenter 6 and 7 songs, a whole library folder or exported playlists come in with their words, slide breaks, CCLI numbers and copyright lines, and playlists become draft services. Themes, looks and macros don’t come across; Present uses your theme.
